Dr. Claire Dumke is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and the owner of Insights, LLC. Dr. Dumke has over 9 years of experience working with children, adolescents and adults on the autism spectrum. She was awarded a doctoral degree in clinical psychology with a focus on child and family studies from Alliant International University. Her dissertation was entitled “The Experience of Women who were Raised by their Fathers During Adolescence: A Retrospective Study” in which she developed a model for improving father-daughter relationships.
Throughout her training and career, Dr. Dumke has worked with children and adolescents in residential treatment facilities and therapeutic group homes, as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) with children involved in dependency and neglect cases, worked at a mental health hospital in southern California providing inpatient and outpatient individual and group psychotherapy.
Dr. Dumke provided individual psychotherapy, group psychotherapy, and crisis intervention at Springall Academy in San Diego, California to children and adolescents with mood disorders, learning disabilities, behavior problems, and autism spectrum disorders.
As a psychological candidate, Dr. Dumke worked with children, adolescents and adults on the autism spectrum and their families. She provided direct intervention, provided individual therapy, sibling therapy, family therapy, parent education, school consultation and worked as part of a team conducting diagnostic assessments.
